Do I need to schedule an appointment?

I have a couple concerns. I did talk to a nurse about them yesterday, but I'm still slightly concerned. For reference, I'm 3 weeks pp after an emergency c-section. First baby. 1. I had very little pain around my incision aside from 3 painful blisters off to the side that are believed to have been caused by an allergic reaction to the adhesive. 3 days ago I started having very intense pain around my incision, mainly on the right side (the same side where the blisters were but they've been healed for a week or so). The pain is sharp and sometimes will also be achy. A warm bath (ok-ed by my OB), pain meds, and ice packs don't seem to do much to help. Many times, the pain has been so bad that I've almost started crying and can't stand up straight. I haven't done anything to exercise more than going on walks for about a mile at least every other day (haven't been able to since the pain got worse). My incision doesn't look at all infected. There's some very slight redness around the area that hurts, but that's it. 2. My bleeding from my vagina has seemed to stop. Now it's a more yellowish discharge that has a bad smell. I also have felt very itchy around my vagina the last few days. I'm on UTI medication, but that's not improving the itchiness or smell, only helped to slightly decrease the painful urination. 3. My lower abdomen is still pretty much completely numb. I'm honestly not sure how long the numbness should last.

If you think you had a reaction to the adhesive & now there’s some pain I’d definitely go get it checked out, the bad smelling odor is also a big sign to go get checked out just to be safe

My sister in law had a really bad systemic reaction to surgical adhesive so I would go get checked out if you are concerned. Sounds like you are in touch with your OB can you email and ask for an appt or if they think you need to go to the emergency room?

The pain could be caused by the nerves knitting back together but as it’s so severe and the horrible smelling discharge it’s worth getting checked out As for the numbness, you may always have a degree of numbness. I’m 3 & 1/2 years post C-section and have never got sensation back in a patch of by tummy between my scar and belly button
