Im trying to condense it without spoiling it. Don’t worry, no spoilers included. The story follows a small town in Pennsylvania and a girl named Leah. The small town is governed by two things, the church, and the lord of the wood. The lord of the wood is this mysterious being that lives in the nearby forest who randomly takes young children from their families and the young woman tied to that child is sent to the woods to retrieve them, only none of them ever returned. Leah doesn’t care much for the lord of the woods until her baby brother is taken while under her care. Due to the judgement of her town and her shame of losing her baby brother, shes forced to step into the wood to get him back. Ps. Please check trigger warnings before you read.
