Has any one had a blighted ovum? (Egg sac but no baby growing)

Today I found out I have a blighted ovum. I'm 7 weeks today and had a scan as I was bleeding last night. The egg sac has grown but there is no baby inside. To be pregnant but not actually pregnant has been a hard pill to swallow :( I've now got to go through a miscarriage, for anyone who has had this how long does it take for it occur naturally or did you have to have a medical miscarriage?

I had this. My miscarriage did not occur naturally. I had to have a medical miscarriage. I took the medication. I didn't have any cramping which they say you would....but I bled A LOT. I ended up in hospital because of it. I'm not sure whether that was normal or not though. I had 2 yolk sacks though (it was twins).

Hi there, I had a blighted ovum. I went for my first scan at 7 weeks and there was a sac but no baby. They thought could have been too early so was told to come back in 10 days. On the day of my re-scan, I had some bleeding and when I arrived to my scan, it was confirmed that there was no viable pregnancy. I then naturally miscarried following the appointment.

Hey mama, I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through. It's truly a tough situation to face. The waiting time for a natural miscarriage can vary for each person. Some choose to wait for it to happen naturally, while others opt for a medical miscarriage to help things along. It's essential to discuss your options with your healthcare provider to find the best path for you. Remember, it's okay to seek support during this challenging time. Take care of yourself. 💕🤍

I was told at my first scan that the sac was empty and only measuring 5+5 but they couldn't see a baby. Then I had another scan almost 3 weeks later at would've been 8 weeks and there was still no baby. They scheduled another scan for 10 and a half weeks but I miscarried naturally at exactly 10 weeks.
