Following for ideas.. mine is 1 month old and does the same thing
If it were colic wouldn’t he cry even if being held??
Might have winner with the play mat
We put a heating pad in the bassinet before putting our baby in and that has helped a ton! They could be going through a sleep regression or maybe you can up their milk/formula by an ounce? Or maybe they have gas and you could help relieve it by pumping their legs?
We took our lil guy to a chiropractor and it did wonders for fussiness
My baby hates to be put down too she’s 1 month, and sometimes it drives me crazy but I just put her in her wrap and get stuff done, on the days my husband gets off early I do oil cooking but on days he works late I oven cook so I don’t gotta worry about her getting hurt and I mop on the days he’s off so she don’t gotta be around chemicals and then when it’s nap time I wrap her in a swaddle so she’s extra warm and I put a shirt of mine and my husband next to her for the scent so she sleep longer and get stuff done and I found certain shows to keep her occupied she really likes Bebe Finn on Netflix and the wheels on the bus cocomelon addition and I’ll throw it on while I clean up the room. Then my husband gets 2 days off so on them days he takes over completely and when he works he leaves his first job early to come home and take over till 2:30 and when he gets home he showers and eats then takes over till he falls asleep.
Rotating and taking turns with the baby has honestly saved my sanity sometimes cause she’ll scream if I put her down majority of the time, and I started giving her a extra ounce of breast milk to put her down for a nap to get her to sleep just a little longer, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. During her sleep regression times I’m ngl bebefinn saves me cause she decides she doesn’t wanna sleep at night and I’ll put it on and lay her on my chest and go back to sleep cause if she’s changed and fed and just don’t wanna go to sleep, I’m not staying up all night and day with her, I’m a very light sleeper so it works for me cause if she moves I’ll wake up
Could be colic? Have you tried massages? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBEI5O0OIns/?igsh=ZG03MjJ2NnJybmQ2 I found this one, is in Portuguese but you can copy easily My baby is 2 weeks old and I noticed the days we have family visiting he gets overwhelmed and cries a lot, nights are really hard afterwards. Have anything changed in his routine recently?
