Ps your feelings are always valid - however you feel about it ❤️ it’s your family and you do what is right for you!
We've never both been away from my 4.5 year old except for the one night I was in labour with his little brother. Just do what feels right for you!
Thank you @Natalie and @Caroline this makes me feel so much better!! FIL called it ‘criminal’ how little we’ve used his babysitting services but I guess I was very ready to temporarily give up that part of my life when we had children 🤷🏼♀️ husband @Natalie have a fantastic time in NYC!! How amazing that one day you can show your little girl her big trip to the states 😊
I haven’t left my (nearly) 4 year old over night. I’ve got no desire too, he loves his bed, he feels safe and happy there and I just worry someone else wouldn’t hear him if he doesn’t climb out. We’ve been away and he’s fine in bed there I just don’t want to leave him. I go to the gym in the morning 4 days a week and I hate not being there when either of them wake. So no, I’ve not left my October baby and can’t say I will anytime soon! X
I feel the same way and it's not wrong. It's a totally legitimate way to feel. If others want nights off that's also fine. You do you! Grandparents can get obsessed with overnights but they have no right to them especially if you don't want to have the "night off"
Totally with you. We are going to NYC in 10 days toms was meant to be a couple trip , booked pre baby but she is now coming 🤗 I may regret this 😆
