Crying at nursery drop off

Just wondering how long (if ever) it’s taken others babies to stop crying at drop off? Our little boy is 13 months old and on his second week of nursery. I feel absolutely awful that we leave him each day when he’s upset. The nursery tell us that he usually settles after 5-10 minutes, but it would just make me feel so much better if we got to the point where he was happy and excited to go in 😩

My son was 2.5 but I literally thought it would never ever stop. It took a solid 3 months for us- which felt like a lifetime but now he begs to go?! I genuinely thought we’d have a child that was never ever happy about going to nursery, but I promise it does happen u just have to persevere. The crying at drop off was the last thing to shift, if he stops after 5-10 mins that’s a good sign! We didn’t get there until weeks after he joined

My LO has been going to nursery for about 4 weeks now (at 3 days a week) This week he has stopped crying at drop off - there is light at the end of the tunnel

My son has been going since 1st July and still cries at drop off but he's so happy at pick up it makes drop off a lot easier! I find if I hang about it makes it worse x

It took 7 weeks before our son didn’t cry on drop off and 8 weeks for him to reach out for the nursery worker

We’re 4 weeks in any my son has stopped crying at drop off! He absolutely loves the nursery and I think more so the girls that work there I feel so lucky! He still looks at me when I say bye with sad eyes but I peep through and he’s normally having cuddles and getting his breakfast. My oldest used to cry when I dropped him off with his grandma when he was abit older so I don’t always think it’s the setting, hopefully it gets better soon x

For reference he goes 4 days a week, I think it makes a difference if they go more days to how quickly the settle, I wish he didn’t have to go 4 days but we don’t have any family and I have to work for the money so it is what it is
