Reading books

Random but do you read to your babies? I did when he was younger and couldn’t move, he loved it and would smile and laugh along but now that he is crawling and grabbing he won’t sit still, he either crawls away to something else or tries to grab and rip at the book. I love books and would like to get back to reading to him again or do I wait until he’s older?

Maybe just get more hard back books to prevent damage I read to my girls but the eldest is two and she loves a story but In all honesty I think I read to her birth to seven months then kinda stopped till about 13 months cause she had lost interest in sitting and little one is 8 months now and loves the sensory gruffalo book but won’t activity sit for a story no luck intrest in moving it will come back I’m sure ☺️

I read to him when he was 3m-4m and he'd lose interest after 2 minutes, then when I read to him 5-6m he'd just try to eat the book 🤣 so I've paused for a bit, will try again next month maybe haha

I’ve got a indestructible book and it’s so good he can’t rip it at all 🤣xx

Hard back for sure, ima start reading a chapter when she goes down for a nap instead of singing twinkle little star repeatedly lol but will start when her eyes close haha

My baby is the same, always tries to eat the book, but she loves the ‘that’s not my…’ books. They have textured parts to touch and interact with. She loves them so much, she sits still and smiles along with the story

My LB lovessss books so I use it for tummy time (as he hates this), he can stay on his tummy a longgggg time as long as we’re looking at books. We read about 15-20 books a day.
