Hitting

Anyone else? Baby Girl will be 1 at the end of the month & has begun hitting me! She means it too! When she has something that I need to remove from her she gets mad and smacks me! I can’t deny it’s funny that she knows to do that at such a young age, but I am not about to raise a child that hits. I’ve tried redirecting her, I’ve tried holding her hand down and telling her no. I’ve showed her a gentle touch instead. I’ve given her something she *can* have, but she keeps hitting. Almost a game. Anyone else’s baby in a smacking phase? It’s so intentional! She stares me dead in the eyes and smacks me in my face! I try not to laugh because as she gets older it definitely will not be funny!

My baby girl those the same thing she is always trying to smack me and when she dnt reach my face she will try and pull my hair

My baby girl turns one on Thursday and has been doing the same thing. Daycare says she’s even hitting kids. We’ve been trying to correct it at home too.

Lol my little guys in that phase too!! He turns 1 on Sunday and he will do the same thing if I take something away or tell him no he will look at me angrily and hit me or randomly hit his cousins. We’ve done everything to correct it too but it is just a phase they all go through!! I’ve worked in childcare and also have 10 nieces and nephews and they have ALL gone through it! It might feel like it’ll never end but you just have to correct it as much as you can and then they’ll eventually grow out of it!

My girl smack too, I try and just do the gentle thing with her hand on my face but she doesn't do it like she made she just likes to smack things to hear the different sounds they make. Lol the sound mommy makes she seems to like a lot 🫠

Gosh ! My boy does that and he does the head butting against my chest! And he smiles ! Truly something is wrong with these babies these days !! 😝😝😝
