Walking

My LO is still not walking. I wouldn’t be too worried however his legs are still weak and he can’t stand even independently. I’m really worried😞 is anyone else the same? He can stand holding onto the sofa but this is a very recent thing

If he's standing holding on he's getting ready. The more he does this the stronger his legs will become. He may be putting all his energy into other things at the moment. My friends little girl didn't start walking till she was almost 2 x

I read somewhere they are either walkers or talkers - how’s his speech? I honestly wouldn’t worry too much yet either way, just by practicing standing he’s building those muscles now, I bet he’ll be walking in no time x

Don’t worry! My girl isn’t walking or crawling. She loves a bum shuffle backwards! Last two weeks she’s standing with support a few days of us practicing on the bottom of the stairs (she hadn’t ever tried the stairs so it was really exciting for her) and boom standing with support and holding my hands. Begin with putting your LO on there knees if they don’t tend to be on them much. We also started physio at home (YouTube is your best friend) she really has excelled with movements this week. And swimming helps my little one get strength in her legs. If you feel as if his or her feet are turned outwards or knees make sure you’re correcting them too. Don’t worry your LO will get there! X

@Fay thank you everyone. This is really reassuring! His speech is amazing, he’s saying at least 20+ words so maybe all his energy is going into that🥰
