Speech

Hi, my toddler barely says any words. He says a few like go, hi, yea, yeah and do . Any advice to get him to say a full sentence and words?

How old is he?

I would say it’s okay my toddlers didn’t get goin until my 3yo started repeating everything and trying to say phrases sometimes it’s all at once, around 3yo I hear a lot too give it time❤️

I would get him evaluated for speech therapy, it doesn’t mean anything is wrong but they will be able to help with any speech delay and the sooner he gets some support the better. Good luck:)

i second @Vera! Not saying there’s anything wrong but seeing a CCC-SLP and having an evaluation done won’t hurt. And if you child needs some therapy, than okay. Nothing is better than early intervention Good luck

Read books at night time During try t day find short board books like hop on pop or other short books like hooked on phonics books.

I read a lot to him .

@Laura explain everything you’re doing. Also when if you go out or for walk put actions to the words like “hi airplane” and wave while saying hi. And then just talk about the airplane. “The airplane is flying in the sky! Hi airplane! The sky is blue” be expressive while speaking

I told him I do walk with him. I tell him flowers plants birds, I explained everything to him.

Keep up the great work! He’ll get there! How old is he?
