My boy does this.. it’s very normal.. my body has learnt to ignore it and only wake me up or react to him if it’s important, like crying or I can hear him being sick. It was very hard to switch off from at first but you do eventually.

It's very normal, newborns are noisy. Hopefully you'll learn to sleep through the smaller noises and only wake for proper cries. Your baby is learning to poo and pass gas/burps, figuring out how to use their muscles and baring down. We had the same sleep issues but after a few weeks we've learnt to sleep through the smaller grunts etc my husband who is a very light sleeper can now sleep through the noises, full on cries, white noise machine and lights being on. Sleep in slight shifts if you can. One of you do the last feed or 2 before your bed whilst the other of you gets an early night (then they can do the next 2 night feeds) , we'd bottle feed the odd feed so I could sleep. Having 4hrs of sleep in a row with a newborn is a life changer.

Omg mine is sooooo bloody loud, she literally sounds like a dinosaur or like a little monster 😂😂😂 I never knew this was a thing until I started googling. Sometimes I actually think is there something seriously wrong but apparently it’s normal 😂 I hope it stops soon because it does keep you up at night even though I got way better at ignoring it now than at the start

Soo loud!😅 I've learned what to listen out for and when to check him.

My boy grunts and snorts all night!

goodness mee..feckin loud!

Yes, like a farmyard! Just when I thought it had finished it started again🤣

Yep I spend all night waking to check if he’s still asleep or not because of the noises.

Thank you everyone this was so helpful to hear! No one told me this when having a baby so i was just like what is wrong is he in pain? Thank you i will try and tune him out!

Yes, mine is now 4 weeks old and is really not as noisy now so it does get better
