Traveling and bottles

When you are out for the day, let's say hiking or at an amusement park, how do you do bottles? Do you just take 4-6 bottles with you? Do you rinse 1 for the day and reuse it? How do you warm bottles? We will have access to hot water. Was initally thinking take formula powder in a zip lock with a scoop and then make bottles and heat in warm water but do I take 6 bottles or 2 or 1 and reuse?

That’s up to you I rinse mine sometimes and others I have bottles prepped for the day. I also have a portable warmer. I am a pumping mom so having them prepped is easier and I usually have a pump too I have seen those formals bottles and holders that look great for travel maybe looking into some

I pack enough bottles with baby water and make them as needed. She normally does 3-4 bottles. Pack formula in smaller container

I usually just reuse one or two and bring a small bottle brush to wash it. Or just rinse if I’m desperate. I also got in the habit of bringing a pack of 4 small 2 oz premixed formulas in my diaper bag for emergencies when I’m out

I always pack the extra bottles. I’m not always around access to clean drinking water. Even if the place does have clean drinking water to wash, I’d have to pack a bottle brush and dish soap and it’s just too much hassle.

I have a travel bottle warmer but I’ve also just asked for cups of hot water at restaurants and just stick the bottle in it. Bring as much as you think you’ll need and put it in storage bottles and then just use the same bottle. Always bring a pump with you. I throw my manual(lansinoh) in my bag. I never want to worry about not having power or my battery dying and not being able to pump.

I bring 4 bottles so try water already in it. Just normal filtered water because it doesn’t need to be hot. Just room temp or something so it doesn’t freeze baby. Then I had a formula container that held 4 things of formula. So I portioned it out for the amount of water I had in the bottles

If you’re only out for the day the. You really only need 4 ish bottles. Because baby will most likely eat every 3-4 hours. You could do a zip lock. But for us it was just easier to have it pre portioned so I could just pour it into the bottle

@Chardonnay which portable warmer do you have

I take all the bottles I will need. A container of hot water and formula. Just mix the hot water and formula I packed and let it cool down.

@Rebekah what do you pack hot water in that will last all day?
