God I’m so sorry I wish I could help. You’re not a shit mother, I start losing it very quickly when my little one fusses while feeding and cries for “no reason”.
@Asha I have no one unfortunately everyone’s too far or elderly
@Marina Its so frustrating but today even more so as it’s like actually been all day non stop
I completely understand how you feel, I’ve had the exact same feelings myself in the early days, when Drs said Colic I used to get soo mad thinking they are just fobbing me off. I remember one day I drove into town, he was screaming in the car seat, I was bawling my eyes out because nothing I could do could help him / make him stop crying, it’s SO tough at times. Turned out to be CMPA for my little one, we didn’t get a proper diagnosis until he was 6 months old but when he was changed to an amino acid formula he was almost instantly like a new baby. Could be somethitn to look into if you haven’t already x
@Charlotte it’s so hard isn’t it weirdly the only place she doesn’t cry is the car🤦🏻♀️ but obviously can’t be in the car for hours I ebf I cut out all dairy and soya when she as 2 weeks old, she’s now nearly 5 months still free of these things 😩 tongue tie cut etc nothing worked x
Are you in the UK?
@Anais I am yeah x
England North west? Anywhere near me?
Oh God that's awful 😩 it is soooo stressful when they cry all day, you're not a bad mum to be feeling stressed and overwhelmed by that. Maybe suggest silent reflux? My little boy has it and my goodness before he got medicine for it he cried an awful lot. Xx
Hi could you get a mamaroo ? It is like the motion of a car , so you don’t have to go out in the car all the time . My daughter loved motion . To put her in that was often the only way we got some sleep in those early days … - it was a lifesaver for us ..: we did not want to go out in the middle of the night etc . Do what you need to do - as someone said above check the milk too .. my daughter was on a goats milk formula and it was much better for her tummy ! Also do you use colic drops ? I think we used coleif as my daughter had that too , in the early days we used it in her bottles Also not sure how old they have to be but gripe water - not sure if it’s 6 months plus but we started using that when she was old enough . I know it’s tough but it will pass you will get through this …. she will get bigger soon and then it will be a distant memory .. Do you not have any family or a friend who can give you some relief and respite . if not could you a hire a babysitter x
Like from the childcare website , few hours respite xx
I’m so sorry, it’s so hard. When my baby is screaming constantly and I’m alone with her and ready to lose my mind I force myself to take huge deep breaths and either blow out or shush her gently on the out breath for as long as I can. Even if it doesn’t calm her down it helps me regulate myself and get to a place where I’m feeling able to tolerate more, and since they can pickup on our energy I’ve found that sometimes it even helps to soothe her as well. Hang in there, you’re doing your best and that’s enough 💙
Bless you :( sorry to hear this & it can be SO frustrating and overwhelming being a mum sometimes - you’re not a bad mum at all especially as you continue to do your best for your baby. Babies unfortunately do just cry and as long as you’re feeding, changing, helping them to sleep and lots of cuddles then you’re doing great and sometimes babies do just cry or it’s to do with something beyond your control but I think taking bubba to the doctors and maybe yourself for some mental health support might be a good idea? I had a cry yesterday because I’m feeling so overwhelmed and I have a very supportive partner and in general I’m doing quite well so I can’t imagine how you feel! Just know that it’s normal for us to have moments because it’s TOUGH! Remember sleep deprivation can make you go a bit crazy & you’re just having a really bad day where everything’s going wrong! This will pass even though it doesn’t feel like it, put headphones in if you need a break from the crying, I have a
Joie electric swing which is a god send when I’m too exhausted to rock him all the time! (£30 off marketplace!) remember if you get too stressed put her somewhere safe and let her cry, much safer than you potentially getting angry and making things worse Check milk allergy, reflux, and wind - my baby would cry so much and be in pain until he’s now in lactose free milk x

@Anais nowhere near :( x
@Mel I’m so overwhelmed, she does have reflux yes however nothing has helped, it has got much better though, she used to be genuinely terrible, I feel so guilty when she’s just crying like what mother can’t calm down her baby even my partner said this to me :( he thinks I’m a actual awful mother
@Rachael o do have a swing but she just doesn’t seem to like being strapped into it at all she’s gets really angry 🤦🏻♀️, I ebf I cut all dairy and soy out when she was 2 weeks old she’s now 5 months nearly, Also tried everything you can imagine gripe water; coleif, Infacol, and unfortunately my family are all elderly and far c
@Ashley yeah I do try regulate myself but it’s so hard I just have no energy anymore I just feel so upset like being a first time mum with my partner not being here to help or for my pregnancy it all just got ruined I just want him here to help and him to stop being so horrible :(
I can’t imagine doing it all alone. No one should have to be in that position, I’m so sorry. Please reach out if you ever need to vent or need any extra support, I know I definitely need it at times and we’ve all been there.
How dare your partner say that to you! If you're doing everything to make your baby comfortable and safe then you are a brilliant mother, we are not mind readers so there may be times when our little ones are crying and we have no idea why! He sounds like a terrible father and partner.
Can you get a friend or family member to come and help? For a few hours?xx
