Baby speech genius?! lol

So my little one is almost 2. Everyone seems to say she’s really advanced. She Speaks almost fluently, says things like “mummy we go park today and we go see something like animals and give food” , she says almost everything and that’s not even said lightly, even able to tell you when you’re being a “cheeky bugga” 😂 if you’ve said something silly! Understands a joke, understands facial expressions even silly ones or if I eyeball her when she’s whining she starts to laugh 😂… her sense of humour is insane. She remembers things when we go places and relays it to family members.. I don’t mean to post this in a way to make others feel bad nor do I want to make myself seem big headed , I just want others take on it especially people who work in the industry with babies, because she seems super clever to me!

My little girl is exactly the same!! Can count to ten independently, even recognises the numbers out of order! She also knows all her phonetic letters and all her colours! She will also write a few letters and can draw a few shapes! Nursery always tells me how advanced her speech and intellectual ability is! However… she was very slow to crawl and walk, has only just learnt how to jump and is super clumsy 😂 she has definitely gained cognitive ability before mobility 😂 she started talking at about 7 months! Sometimes I think it’s because I work in a school… other times I truly believe it’s the fact she was always more interested in books than toys and we have sung nursery rhymes and stuff since the day she was born! She just seems to retain information 🥰

@Emily-Mai ahhh amazing!! Exactly the same as my little one! Crazy isn’t it! She was late crawling and walking too, and is clumsy! Everything you’ve said is spot on 😂

I think it’s genuinely just how some children are!! Working in primary I do see this quite a bit!! Feel free to message me and we can try to support each other 😂 I find she always has to be on the go and doing something! It’s exhausting 😂

Yup! We have the same here with our motormouth madam! I’m always reluctant to talk about it as like you’ve said, you don’t want it come across as bragging or insensitive but it’s just mind blowing bow fast they can understand concepts. I was playfully taking the mick out of her the other day, just copying everything she was saying in her voice and she side-eyed me and said, “mummy making fun of me” 🤯😂. Today, I asked if she’d farted as I was doing her hair before going out and she does “no I didn’t, I did a poo poo” 😂😭 (she didn’t, she’s on medication for constipation atm her accuracy is about 70/30). It’s just insane to me that they’re this smart at this age! Even those who aren’t as chatty and they understand complex things just amazes me.

My daughter isn’t fully there we’re at 3/4 word sentences but her emotional intelligence is insane and she can use tone and dictation to display wants and being cheeky etc, me and my 5 month old were in hospital for 8 weeks, and she was so strong and if we say brother has to go to the hospital she’ll say ‘brother, doctor, stickter’ he had an NG tube, her vocab is so impressive and will say temperature, accident, focaccia, adventure, injection… She also knows when someone’s sad and to say sorry, she’s also decided to kind of start potty training herself, although she drinks so much water even with 8-10 wee’s on the potty she will still have a full nappy, usually she’ll say, mummy wee wee potty please and then after she’ll say nappy, stop accident. Her favourite thing to say at the moment is hurry up if you’re not quick enough because I told my husband the other day to hurry up… she also told my friend to fix my car ‘Lew Lew fix it mummy car please’ 😂
