It’s absolutely normal. During pregnancy your hair was a lot stronger, and you lost a lot less hair. Now that your hormones are going back to pre pregnancy you’ll notice more hair loss. It will usually last a couple of months before you go back to pre pregnancy And even though it will seem as if you’re about to go bold, you won’t
I hear some mums have hair loss even at a year, 18m, 2yrs Pp. Mine only lasted a couple months. Granted, I take multis, and “hair skin nails” and another hair vitamin on top, plus collagen through foods and a collagen powder. Physical maintenance is important to me so I take all that and it really helped w minimal hair loss for me.
I am 6 months pp and dealing with the same problem I still taking my prenatal vitamins it’s a normal process just make sure u eat well and take your vitamins I have so much little hair growing
Normal
Like what Eileen said, it's normal. Your pregnancy hormones prevent your normal shedding, then at 3-6ish months pp you lose all 9 months of not shedding all at once... the other aspect of this is it will all regrow roughly at the same time too 🤣 I call them my mom layers after having 3 in a row 🫣
Normal from hormonal shift. It will pass. All products are snake oil so don’t waste your money
My hairs still falling out 3 years later
Yep. You barely lost any hair for 9 months now you are losing it all at once. Totally normal.
Motherwell Nutrition's Alison Boden said that it has to do with malnutrition after postpartum. Check her blogs out, she was talking extensively about moms needing more nutrition postpartum than during pregnancy
Best thing you can do is help from the inside. To help it grow back faster. Nothing will stop the hormonal shedding but any deficiency will keep it shedding longer so vitamins are extremely important right now. These have saved my hair and also got my lashes growing again. Highly recommend (has biotin/collagen etc) Amazon also has them with crazy good reviews
