Guilt

The guilt I am feeling that my son doesn't have any friends because he is very sensitive being around people, he likes to do he's own thing, also doesn't really understand boundaries with other children's belongings he thinks he can just take whatever he wants lol, not funny but it makes me anxious.. he has suspected autism and doesn't speak at the moment either. It's so hard 😫

If he has suspected Autism then it is neither yours or your son's fault that he doesn't understand these things. You have no need to feel bad. My 2 & a half year old preferred to play by himself until just after he turned 2. Now he will play with other children. It is a developmental milestone that will come when they are ready x

🫂 He will make friends in his own time. Right now he probably is happy to do his own thing and not worried about other kids. Most people on the spectrum covet their alone time cause that's when their central nervous system is at peace. It might take longer for him to get social norms down but he will get there in the capacity that he can and at the time that is appropriate for him! You're doing a great job 🫶🏻

this is my daughter to the T. and when she finally wants to talk to other babies and play with them, she magically always tries to befriend the kid that does not want to be friends. 💔 her speech is great, she’s just sensitive around people.
