What helps out with inducing labor ?

Same girl I’m 40+5 and my waters and mucus plug are still very much up in there baby boy is too comfy😂 despite doing all the old wives tales nothing is helping to speed things up

I am 39 weeks today but sitting at 5 cm dilated and having no contractions. I just have a ton of pelvic pressure and I am so swollen down there. I have been sitting at 5 since Thursday and I am just so ready.

When I was 40+ I went ahead and asked for the membrane sweep. I was so miserable. I wanted to meet him and get him out.

@Kat I got checked thrusday and I wasn't even dilated no pelvic pressure nothing and I been doing what my midwife said and it's not working 🥺

@Alyssa I'm not dilated no pressure and nothing 🥺😫 I want him out just to be more comfortable and to finally meet him

I got induced with my first 1 day after my due date and I was 0 cm dilated. So they put the Ballon in the day before to get me to 4 cm before my induction. I was so uncomfortable and didn't want to be pregant any longer. I had a great induction experience.

@Alyssa they won't induce me 🫤 cuase apparently I declined it when all I said idk but as of the moment to think about it but if there a medical reason I'll get one but in general idk

how did you tolerate membrane sweep? I have vaginismus but i cried so hard when they tried to do membrane sweep for me, they stoped.

my midwife was very patience with me. She told me she was going to go in and sweep three times - if I needed a break tell her. It lasted not even five mins with breaks. I went into labor three days later and I had it fast.

That doesn’t sound right to me. Not trying to be *that* person but advocate for yourself. Tell them you can and will advocate for yourself and you’d like the sweep since your full term and it is fine to do it now.

i just feel weak and a wuss since I couldn’t take the pain.
