I just started rollerblading again. It was a big hobby of mine for a long time. I do consider it "me time," but I go when she's ready for a nap, so I just skate away pushing the stroller while she is sleeping
I’ve recently got in to reading again, rather than mindlessly scrolling. I also took on an allotment, which is lots of work but satisfying and it’s basically like going to the gym but enjoyable.
Before baby mani Pedi sessions when I had a chance. One thing I've always done is my hot night bubble baths with candles and music...this is my self care. Also other little things like my photography, creating playlists, journaling and drawing and maybe treat myself to lunch somewhere. 😋
I’ve started making bread, mostly sourdough, the process is very therapeutic x
I've had to force myself to give myself ME time. As much guilt and resentment I've felt towards myself, I couldn't keep pouring from an empty glass. I was starting to be really mean and aggressive because my OWN needs were not being met.
@Naomi I make pita bread sometimes but wanna do sourdough bread. Can you share a recipe?
@Mónica me too! I feel the tension blowing up on myself when I don’t have anything for just me.
My ‘Me time’ is going shopping in the 3 hours that he’s in pre school 😂 Shopping could literally just be going to Asda but I love it as there’s no crying child to make me rush & or feel stressed. Sometimes I go over the time & make his dad pick him up so I have longer in the car to myself. I thought when he goes full time from next September I would have time to myself again for at least 6 hours but I’m currently pregnant again so I don’t see that happening for a long time
Something I recently started doing for a new hobby is adult paint by numbers! It’s been a nice way to put my phone down and not think about anything… it’s peaceful! And then you have a painting afterwards to show what you can accomplish!
Baking/cake decorating , on some occasions reading
I get my nails done every 3 weeks and my hair done every couple of months and I have recently started couch to 5k so go on a few runs. I also sometimes just go for a coffee and read a book on my own.
I've been crocheting while baby naps and in the evening. Making myself some coffee in the morning is always relaxing for me and gives me a moment in the morning. And then in the evenings when my husband gets home from work, getting a nice long shower to decompress and relax for a moment.
I do my own nails as a creative outlet
Ride horses and cry.

I started going to the gym and I love it. I go in the evening when the kids are in bed. During the day I knit or crochet when I have the time :)
I go to the gym everyday. Well not today. Because I have terrible diaper rash 😫😂
I like to sew when my family gifts me projects or hemming things. I love rollerblading, crafting and I just stoppped going to the gym recently
Bowling
I do my hair skin nails at home. I like to cook bake garden. I took up Pilates and Zumba when I was 4m PP and then replaced both of those w salsa at 18m pp so I’ve been learning salsa for 2yrs now- always been something I’ve wanted to do I just waited for the right timing. I go every Friday they’re called “Latin socials”. And I’m learning Spanish. And I like going to expos and festivals
i go on walks to the mall for some me time, eating and shopping
I read this in a car ride with my husband and kids. I told my family about this post and said I guess I have no hobbies. My kids disagreed and said you have lots of hobbies! So I asked them what they would you say my hobbies are. Here’s what they said: My daughter said “you hang your boobs out of your shirt when you feed the baby”. My son said “you read books to us and snuggle us!” Lol. My husband said “those are all things mom does yes, but hobbies are like something someone does for fun or to learn a skill. Those are all just parenting.” My daughter said “oh art! You love art you help me with lots of my crafts” My son said “you sing to us!” Lol. Safe to say I don’t have hobbies.
I do self care nights, I watched Netflix series, I craft a lot, I read.
Exercise class
Cooking, binge watching shows & painting
@Eryn lmao kids ideas of a hobby that’s hilarious and so innocent. It’s hard when you don’t have any hobbies 😥 I’m like what do I do for just myself? To fill my cup? It’s hard to something just for you.
Read a book or have a bath xx
@Rema right? Truly. I used to throw themed parties and host events, do improv, paint, and dance salsa and swing. But now I just use my creative skills for supporting my family and my me time is when I shower. I suppose cooking new recipes and baking things into healthier versions is my hobby currently.
I pole dance (for fitness and fun), I go get my nails done, waxes, I have “hair day” since I do my own hair, reading and audiobooks, into witchy stuff and rituals, tarot reading, podcasts I love, hiking, and when I’m home in San Diego I do this “adventure time” where I’ll randomly search and find an activity to go do because there’s always some pop up event or restaurant etc. I haven’t tried. I actually keep a fomo list where I save them and will pick on a day I have time.

Shower:)
@Eryn that’s hilarious 😆
Imagine having time to do that lol!
I do my nails once a week and get my legs waxed once a month and watch a TV series with my husband
Tv, phone, walk, music, shopping
Sleep in 2hr increments at night... Usually less tho 🙈🥴 One day I'll get a real hobby again lol I used to do Taekwondo, workout and take Japanese class. Was also learning how to sew and embroidery when I was pregnant with my daughter but find it hard to use needles around small kids now 😮💨
