Cut or wound at day care antiseptic spray

Hi mums, does your day care use antiseptic spray for cleaning wounds or cuts? My child got injured on several occasions already always small injury but it was bleeding. I don't understand why antiseptic wound spray is not being use to provide a proper clean..is this normal practice? I want to complain to them and bring my own antiseptic spray as I'm paranoid about bacterias and infections.. like for sure I would clean mine if I could and in daycare settings there should be this option no? Obviously if you're hiking somewhere you don't always have this on hand but in daycare settings yes.

Daycares cannot apply anything that could be classed as medication without direction and instruction. You could possibly provide your own, however it would likely need a chemist label with explicit application instructions.

I work in daycare and no we don't apply antiseptic spray. Have a chat to your team of educators if this is an option for their centre.

Nope they don't. And they're not allowed to. What if your kid has an allergic reaction to it? If you feel strongly about it, fill in a medication form and get a chemist label.
