Bleeding in pregnancy

Hi all, Has anyone had bleeding whilst being pregnant? I’ve been bleeding for nearly 2 weeks now whilst pregnant. Midwife’s haven’t checked my pad and have told me not to worry but I’m literally panicking and worried I’m losing my baby. They refuse to give me another scan and I’m having to wait until Monday for it but I do have a midwife appointment today. But I’m scared but I feel I’m getting fobbed off from midwife’s and I don’t know what to do.

Bless you. I know it’s all scary and if you’re really feeling that you’re being fobbed off, definitely put your foot down. Remember this is your body and your baby, you know best! Also, I’d recommend going to your early pregnancy unit at your local hospital. It may be absolutely nothing and I have heard of lots of woman bleeding throughout the pregnancy. Goodluck and I hope things get sorted for you xx

@Beccie I have been to the early pregnancy unit and it’s them that have refused to do any examinations and checks. There the ones that have fobbed me off. Telling me they can’t do anything and just to monitor the bleeding. But it’s been two weeks nearly and I’m just so fed up of being messed about. They also told me they couldn’t scan earlier Because they’re not allowed but they scanned me from 4 weeks with my first so just feel let down and left to worry

Maybe a private scan? Xx

@Beccie that’s what I’m thinking but I’m thinking see what the midwife says when I go soon and then if they can’t do anything I’m going to book a scan. It’s strange how no one knows why it’s happening and I know you can bleed during pregnancy as my mum did with all 3 of us but I’m just worried, I don’t feel pregnant, I’ve never had any sickness. I’ve got no pain at all so I’m not sire what it could be xx

Bless you. Say you really would like a scan as you are really concerned. Part of midwives and consultants jobs are to reassure Mum too. I hope all goes well xx

@Emma Cotterell they would only give me a scan for next week at the hospital but I’ve got the midwife in half hour and I’m going to ask them what to do and for them to check as it just doesn’t sit right with me xx

Yes, I completely get it. When i was pregnant with my son I bled a tiny bit very early on because it was so early in the pregnancy the doctor told me on the phone if it was anything, there was nothing they would be able to do. I have a healthy, happy 3 year old. Well waiting for adneoid and tonsil surgery but he is full of beans and healthy in general. I hope you feel supported by the midwife. I think some ladies can bleed throughout pregnancy and it be completely normal for them but even if the midwives and consultants feel this is your situation, they should be doing what makes you comfortable as keeping mumma and baby stress free is important too xx
