Seems like he bit his tongue to me but if he isn’t feeling off and his temperature is ok, should be fine and just do a doctors appointment just to be sure!
@Qwynn I did think this but I can't see any teeth at all x
@Myra he hasent got any teeth thoe not that I can see anyway, and his temperature is perfect checked it a few times and he is his happy self I rang doctors and there is no appointments what so ever so gonna ring first thing in morning see what they say x
Yes, a baby without teeth can bite their tongue, though it’s typically more of a pinch or scrape than a bite since they lack teeth. Babies can use their gums to exert some pressure, and while this is less severe than with teeth, they can still hurt their tongue. This can happen as they explore using their mouth or when they begin teething. If you notice frequent incidents or signs of discomfort, it’s helpful to monitor and ensure the baby isn’t in pain.
@Oma thank you for your advice and yes my son doesn't seem in pain or anything he's absolutely fine in himself and this is the first I've ever noticed this on his tongue he is 5 months nearly 6 so potentially could be starting to teeth as there is other symptoms but no sign of teeth yet x
He could be teething and accidentally bit his tongue
