Milk supply

How do I increase my supply. My Little is 2 weeks old and is eating 5 oz every bottle and I can only pump 1 oz at a time. Should I just dry up my milk at this point? I hate seeing him have to have formula but at this point as long as he is fed I can deal with it. I’ve dried the cluster pumping thing, the cookies and drink mix and even the vitamin supplement things

My little one is 8 weeks and it’s taken all this time to build up my supply and I am still a little short for him too, it takes time unfortunately

What pump are you using? I use the Momcozy s12 pro it’s good. Have you tried Traditional Medicinals organic mothers milk tea, that helped me produce more milk, drink 3 a day. Pump every 3 hours for 30 minutes

To to increase supply you'll need to increase the frequency/duration of pumps - ideally both, especially at night. The milk making hormones are at their highest between 1am-4am (annoyingly). Aim to pump for around 30 mins, 8-12 times a day. Even if you're getting no milk, the stimulation* will prompt your body to make more milk so stick with it. *Try to imagine if you were directly breastfeeding, baby would be on and off nursing/suckling all day long - that's what sends the message to your brain to create more milk... more stimulation = more milk 😊 Flange size makes a hugeee difference to how efficient the pump is so make sure you're using the right size. Also, keep SUPER hydrated and some people swear oats help so flapjack for breakfast 😉 It takes time so patience is your friend. Good luck! xxx

Definitely see a lactation consultant. It also may be worth trying Domperidone. That said, combo feeding is completely valid.
