It depends on the item, honestly. I personally don't want to thrift underwear, bras, or shoes. But I'll gladly thrift shirts/pants, baby clothes, bigger baby items, toys, bags and such!

Most all of my maternity wear is new. (Thrifted a great pair of maternity jeans for $5 tho!) but my wardrobe before that was nearly all thrifted. They just last longer and are more unique

I don’t know if it’s just charity shops here but I can’t stand the jumble mess of it. I’d consider it more if it didn’t annoy me hunting for my size or digging through stuff, jt just puts me off shopping.

@Sarah yeah you got to be a digger.

Yes! Half of my wardrobe is thrifted. I really need to go soon so I have clothes that fit my current mom body

There’s a shop by where I live that sells second hand donated baby clothes. You can stuff a bag full for £5. It’s so so good

I've gotten some of my best items second hand! $200 jeans for under $20? Unique items that can't be found anywhere else? The occasional designer item that can be flipped for a profit? What's not to love!

@Sarah exactly this. Friends of mine have found some amazing bargains but I just hate rummaging. Even TKMaxx is too much effort for me

@Sorrel don’t! Sometimes I walk into TK maxx, see the state of the shop and walk out. I just can’t cope with the clutter and time wastage 🤣 I know there’s bargains in there but I just can’t do it

I love it, but I'm just cheap 🤣

I love thrift shopping, but specifically because it is so much cheaper.

@Sarah I’ve literally done the same 😂 it’s carnage in there

@Sarah all the charity shops by me are all displayed nicely. All clothes done in ages, even one shop has dvds in alphabetical order. (Obviously not very busy in there lol) only time it’s a mess is the toys. Only seen sister alliance shops messy, not in age order or even gendered. Nothings separated. Never go in them anymore. I need it organised. I’m happy to dig abit but it has to look appealing.

Not really. It’s too time consuming. I’ll walk around a thrift shop for an hour and find maybe one piece I love- 2 if I’m lucky. Whereas online I can add 10 dresses in 5mins in the color I like and in my size. Walking into a thrift shop I don’t even know if I’ll walk out w anything. If I like something, it’s probably not even in my size. So no I don’t like thrift shopping for those reasons. I’m an eco warrior in other areas not my clothes 😂

@Kellie true.

It really depends on where you live sometimes it’s hard, I live in a small town and a lot of the clothes just aren’t for me and I’m not going to buy things I just don’t love to wear. Even the regular stores can be hard also. But when I lived in so cal they had a lot more options.

It’s so fun, I love it! It’s like treasure hunting haha

@Tiff and you will find some treasures!
