Restricted growth, possible TTTS.

Please share positive stories of your babies that have had TTTS. I’m honestly so scared at the minute.

We didn’t have restricted growth but we were possible TTTS. It started at week 20 and I was seen by 3 different hospitals (two MFM and one Fetal Therapy) 3-5 times per week. We never passed the almost TTTS, however, one twin was always there. Like, one would have little fluid and the other normal fluid. Then the other would have a LOT of fluid, but the other was back at acceptable levels. It was a roller coaster, but we made to 34 weeks safely and all doctors agreed on delivery that week. 17 days NICU time for feeding purposes (both a little lazy and not finishing all their bottles so couldn’t go home until they hit 80% of all bottles finished). They caught up with full term babies at 3 months old and still thankfully no delays. They are almost 15 months old now and thriving! You can’t even tell they were premies at some point.

Hi! My boys (now almost 4) had TTTS and we had in utero surgery for it at 25 weeks. They were born at 28 weeks and are thriving now! We had 3 months in the NICU, mostly because they just needed to gain weight. I was terrified when I found out about the TTTS but both myself and one my friends have had the surgery and had positive outcomes. My surgeon ended up needing to do the “plan B” surgery where they remove excess amniotic fluid around one of the babies, but that got us another 3 weeks.
