I have twins they’ll be one that day they both say dada but one started saying shit as her first word 🤦🏽♀️but the other one doesn’t really say anything she just makes noises and barely even says dada I think it’s normal for this age to not say much
My son has one word, and that's it, and it's completely ridiculous. It's a Korean exclamation. His dad is Korean and the SAHP, and we're doing one parent one language. It's too silly. But he's always been a 'talkative' baby, so that may play into it more than how much we talk to him? Like, he's so talkative that on days he didn't babble, we got worried in the early days
Every baby is completely different! Don't stress, especially with them being just under a year. I think as they get closer to 18 months, you'll hear more. Your babies brain can also be putting a priority on learning how to be more mobile. The words will come! It's just a different side of the brain. The words will come when he's ready!
@Nia 😂
Boys also usually start speaking later than girls. Before 15 months I wouldn’t expect much. Mine turned 1 today and he makes a ton of sounds but no clear words yet.
My boy has the same birthday! Same here and not concerned at all. They say walking (around) 1, talking (around) 2. milestones can easily stress us first time mamas out but usually everything is fine and they do everything they need to eventually! ♥️
Personally I believe it’s totally normal at this age. Just keep practicing and mention it at the 1yr well child visit. After about 15-18 months, then I’d be concerned.
