GD - does it change as pregnancy progresses?

Hi ladies, my gestational diabetes has been good so far most readings within range with diet control only Has anyone noticed this changing as pregnancy progresses? I’m still getting away with eating biscuits etc

I'm 37 weeks and can pretty much each anything apart from chocolate shreddies 🤣 diagnosed at 29 weeks. I included tea and biscuits in most of my dinner time readings and never got a high.

Yup, it may get worse as pregnancy progresses then tends to get better at the very end as your placenta stops working so hard. With that said, besides a bad week at 35 weeks, mine has been pretty stable the whole time.

@Kaylee yeah white chocolate and strawberries cereal made mine over 8 so had to give that up 😂😂

I was bad between 30-36 now at 36.5 it's not as bad I can now have chocolate 😂

GD update: Mines got a bit worst recently but hoping it’s just because I have been eating too many carbs - haven’t been really sticking to the 1/4 of the plate rule for carbs. This week hasn’t been so bad so hoping it was a one off with a few days of higher readings. They have suggested metformin but would rather not be on it at the moment so observing blood sugars for another week or so ❤️
