Teeth

I’m 32 weeks pregnant and I’m worried about my dental situation. My last dentist appointment was 2 years ago and they told me I needed 7 fillings. I’m 100% positive I need more than that now. I was in a very controlling relationship where I couldn’t spend any money on myself and I also didn’t have any insurance to use so I was forced to forego any of the stuff I needed. But my mouth is getting worse and I have a back molar literally disintegrating at the gum line when I eat anything hard. I know that keeping your mouth healthy is important when pregnant but I also know that some things I might not be able to get done while pregnant. Does anyone have any tips on what I should do?

When I was 17 I had a cavity that was bad enough that you could see black in the tooth, it was sensitive and starting to become painful and I did some research and was able to reverse it! When I went to the dentist later they said that my teeth looked amazing and they couldn't even tell that I had a cavity there before. What I did also whitened my teeth and removed the plaque and tartar and I also lost some weight as an added bonus. Basically I started doing oil pulling religiously, cleaned up my diet and brushed and flossed my teeth more regularly (my diet wasn't great and I had pretty poor dental hygiene before that). In most cases YOU CAN REVERSE AND HEAL CAVITIES AND IMPROVE IF NOT DEMINISH MOST DENTAL ISSUES! Most dentists don't believe it/don't want you to know it because they've been taught otherwise and it could cause them to lose business but it's totally possible!!! I even have family members who tried it and it worked for them.

@Heidi can I message you to ask more about this?

I have lots of friends and family in the dental field. Go see a dentist! Even when pregnant. Your OB can give you a letter saying it’s okay if the dentist needs that. But my friend who is an emergency dentist said so many pregnant women end up in his clinic with abscess/ infections because they don’t see a dentist and it gets worse

@Justine of course!
