MOMS!! Youtube is becoming brainrot for children!!

The YouTube content is not what it used to be and a lot of young teenage careless boys and families who only care about making money, are making content labeled “for kids” but a lot of it is all nonsense and not teaching kids anything good. A lot of people are ABUSING this as a way to make money without caring about our young kids mental health. All they care about is the money because they know kids don’t know any better and will click on anything they find interesting which can be really really bad for their young developing brains!! If you truly care about your kids PLEASE don’t let them watch youtube!! We need to put an end to this as its getting out of hand. I recommend other apps like Disney+ or Netflix for kids! ( Or PbsKids app as a free option as someone mentioned!!)The content is well done and better quality while the youtube content is out of control!! Please!!

pbs is free and has a ton of shows and games for kids!

@luu🤎 omg you are so right!! I forgot about that app we actually have it on our tv as well! I used to watch it as kid really great and kid friendly shows!!

my kids looove some of the things on there. alma’s way, lyla in the loop, wild kratts. soo many good things and the age range is so broad bc the content is appropriate and educational

Not in my 20s (sorry) but this popped up in my feed and I have to say I agree. My kids aren't able to navigate the TV yet by themselves but anytime we've brought up the YouTube app they're asking to watch the dumbest crap. Sometimes we let them but try to keep it very limited. If we allowed it I think they'd sit there all day and watch videos of dancing skeletons and miniature baking and other people opening and playing with toys.

If you want to use YouTube, download the YoutubeKids app. My daughter has this on the tv but I’ve fully locked it down. There’s only 5 channels she can access (no searching options or any of that). So she can see Ben & Holly, Sesame Street, Bluey, Ms Rachel and Teletubbies. That’s it. No weird ads, no creepy new content with strange kids and their dads and all the other stuff anymore. Lock it down and put those restrictions on so they can navigate it without any issues safely.

@Sarah your so right i did the same thing with my daughter ben and holly bluey, mrs rachel and teletubbes are her main ones and shes learned so much now she always walks up to me randomly and saids “mummy magic always leads to trouble😂” in the cutest little British accent and were not even British

Absolutely love paramount plus junior mode as well! We can watch bubble guppies and all the fun Nickelodeon jr shows super cute just like Disney plus I swear by them both🤣💕

I do use YouTube put it players on loop and I only have controls of the TV and my daughter is almost a year old and she watches Miss Rachel
