Just buy any they’re all the same as long as your getting 400mcg
Folate instead of folic acid is supposed to be the best folic acid is the artificial version but both are good
My midwife recommended stopping folic acid on its own and switching to an all-round prenatal such as Pregnacare or Boots own brand which has the recommended amount of folic acid as well as all the other vitamins and minerals you need x
@Amy I started looking into this. I’m inclined towards Folate over Folic Acid (synthetic) as based on what I have read so far, it is difficult for some to even absorb the synthetic version & there is some connection to cancer. Methylfolate is the version to look for.
Also might chuck in some unfortified nutritional yeast - I used to have this years ago. Not a fan of the taste. Like a cheese replacement. But might try it again.
Any is fine, ideally you’re meant to take it whilst trying to conceive so just start taking them straight away.
I just had an appointment with a nutritionist I'd used a year ago to go through my supplements and advice on tweaks etc. She also said Folate is better than folic acid and from tomorrow I'm following her recommendation and going for this one I ordered off amazon. It has the right foliate dosage we need as well as the right iron level etc. Hope this helps xx NATURELO Prenatal Multivitamin - Natural Vitamins & Minerals - Active Folate, Iron & Calcium - Essential Nutrients During Pregnancy & Conception - No GMOs - 180 Vegan Capsules
@Aysh I actually have this in the cupboard. Not a big fan of the taste either but isn't it meant to be good with B12 or something? I need to dig that box out 😅
@Lexy Thanks for this reassuring message 💓 It’s time to start online shopping 😄
@Lexy B12 and B9 (folate/folic acid) 👍
@Aysh ooh interesting. Kiwi's a meant to be excellent too!
Purolabs Folate is brilliant!
I don't think there is a "best" as long as you are getting the recommended daily amount
