I was putting some tv for my son when my daughter was feeding so he had kind of gotten used to it and had tantrums around it. We have thankfully reduced it a lot now and I would say the tantrums stopped a couple of weeks later. x
Could you try and yoto or tonniebox and make it exciting like wow the characters have gone into the box it also has a pixel screen it's pretty good and get some toys or any fav show characters x
I started letting my 2-year-old(now 3) watch tv but every time I turned off the tv it was a nightmare so we've gone back to no screens in the daytime and just an off family movie night about 1x a month.
Put something 'boring' on, switch to an educational show (nat geo), start playing in the same room (they tend to want to play with you), play music on the tv, play Spotify (stories with no visual simulation, say you're going to go outside and play in the leaves. Aversion, distraction, lead by example. If you act like screen time is a big deal, it'll be a big deal. Be nonchalant about it, because in actuality, it's not that serious.
