Is Overlake medical a good option for minimal intervention birth?

Hi! I’m currently seeing an obgyn through Overlake medical. For those who have gone through Overlake, how was the birth experience? For me personally, I don’t want many birth interventions and want to have as natural a birth as possible (but in a hospital setting in case of an emergency). Did anyone have a positive minimal-intervention birth experience at Overlake?

I had a very positive unmedicated birthing experience without intervention at Overlake. The Kaiser midwives oversaw my delivery but nurses were Overlake staff. They were all great and open to my desires but gave helpful suggestions throughout labor. The facilities were recently renovated when I was there and were nice and spacious. It was helpful for me to have access to the large tub and shower to labor in. I would definitely go back and do recommend.

@Caroline that’s so wonderful to hear! Are the Kaiser midwives through Overlake?

No, Kaiser is right next door but they don't have their own hospital so they have a partnership with Overlake (if that's the right term). Only my labor, delivery, and recovery was at Overlake. The Kaiser midwives and pediatrician only go over to Overlake to care for Kaiser patients.

@Caroline thank you for the information!

@Katie that’s so good to hear! Sounds like we made the right choice!
