@Angel I think you’ve just put into words how I feel about this. Genuinely very helpful - thanks
I think regardless of what political side you’re on or what country you live in…everyone should be sad. Recklessly lives were lost because of **stupid people** I can’t imagine having a partner who’s working as law enforcement (their everyday job) and loosing their lives in this situation. It’s insulting that grown adults behaved like toddlers and thought “this is how we make changes. This is how we get noticed.”. And for those that disagree—I would say you’re lying to yourself because if you lost a family member in this stupidity you would be greatly devastated and pissed off. Those that got found and had to stand before a judge got what they deserved—but even then I feel like it wasn’t harsh enough. Those that got away with it should be ashamed of themselves for participating in a mess like this
I'd probably question their sense of empathy and awareness of the situation. Supporting violence, especially when people were hurt and killed, feels pretty extreme and detached. It’s one thing to have strong political views, but it crosses a line when you’re cheering on chaos that actually caused real harm.
