No they didn’t. They said they can’t call it a miscarriage as of yet because of the size of the gestational sac. I have to go back in a week (Tuesday) to see if there is any change and I imagine they will give me options then. What will the options look like?
Same thing just happened to me. I was supposed to be 10 weeks this week but I wasn't. last thrusday I measured at 5w6d with no heart beat. On Sunday I started bleeding and they said it looked like the apart of a miscarriage but they couldn't confirm it. Yesterday I was in a ball crying due to the pain I was in so I went back in and they took my hcg levels, do an ultrasound, and pelvic exam. And they were able to confirm the miscarriage. You can do what I did and go to the er and get your hcg levels tested to confirm if they are dropping. I'm sorry you are going through this. It isn't fun and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
@Miranda I’m so sorry this has happened to you too. Was it at an ultrasound that you found out baby had no heartbeat or were you showing signs of miscarriage prior? Also when they confirmed the miscarriage was that through an ultrasound which visibly showed everything has passed?
Yea i went in for my 9 week ultra sound and I measured at 5w6d with no heart beat. They saw the gestational sac and the fetal pole. They said I could have just ovulated late but I knew something was wrong because I have known for a month so I would have found out right after getting pregnant and I just knew that wasn't possible. That ultrasound was thrusday and on Sunday (so 4 days later) I started bleeding. That's where they took my blood. My hcg levels were 22k so placing me about 5-6 weeks. On Sunday they say the sac and yolk but no fetal pole. They said it looked like I could be having a miscarriage but they couldn't confirm it. Tuesday I went in due to alot of blood and clots so they did blood, ultrasound, and pelvic exam. My hcg levels were 14k so that ment I was loosing the baby. My cervix was diolating so my body could pass everything. And my ultrasound was completely empty. So it was confirmed 3 different ways
Bleeding for me lasted around a week. I ended up having a D&C with my second because it can take quite a while for your body to process. It will totally depend on where your body is with it. Did the hospital give you options?
