Success stories without baby dropping?!

Hey girls, I am 40 weeks tomorrow and baby still hasn’t dropped/engaged. I’ve been 2cm dialated and 90% effaced for 3 weeks, nothings changing no matter how much curb walking and birth ball-ing I do! I’m desperate for a VBAC but they want to do another c section if I don’t go into labour before 41 weeks. Any success stories of baby coming even though they haven’t engaged yet? My consultant seems to think it won’t happen!

A consultant I saw at triage after my waters broken told me chances of me going into spontaneous labour are close to 0 (can't believe she actually said that) as she was pushing for induction. I declined, we got home and 1.5hr later my contractions started! As I believed, had my baby on my own terms ❤️🙏🏼 Only dropped while in labour.

I’m hoping for a vbac but haven’t been told I need a c-sec if I don’t go into labour before 41wks. What’s their reasoning for this?

I’m also going for a vbac and have refused C-section at 41 weeks. I’ve agreed to monitoring on Saturday when I hit 41 weeks. I went for a sweep on Tuesday and I wasn’t even able to get it done as my cervix was far back and hard (still 4/5 engaged too 🫣). It’s super deflating and it’s making me question whether my body can do it, it’s definitely a mental game now. Just keep pushing through and as long as you and baby are doing well, just means they want to be cooked a little bit longer. Xx
