@MK The doctor said it came from baby being in pelvis which means in position for so long, is that true ? 🤔
Like you mean the baby was in the canal for a long time? Or just in the pelvis prior to labor? I can't say that I've heard of it happening just because of being head down in the pelvis prior to labor but I'm not a labor and delivery professional so that doesn't mean it's not possible.
@MK yeah in the canal for so long
Yes, if you had a long pushing phase where baby was actively in the vagina for a long time it's not uncommon to develop a hematoma. It should go away on its own, but your provider should be able to give you more info on what to look out for and how to encourage it to resolve!
@MK I meant In the pelvis prior to labor is where the Dr. said it came from !!
Like I said, I'm not an L&D professional but you can always ask for a second opinion.

Hi there! Cephalohematomas are typically caused by increased pressure during delivery. If you were pushing for a long time or had forceps/vacuum assistance during delivery the baby is more likely to develop one. It should resolve on its own and there shouldn't be any lasting damage, it's pretty normal!
