Sex doesn’t feel the same
So me and my partner had sex for the first time last night since my section. I’m just over 6 weeks pp. we hadn’t had sex since March as I was quite unwell with my pregnancy. Last night it didn’t feel the same. I enjoyed the intimacy and it still felt good but it just didn’t feel right. Can I still be a bit numb from the section? Don’t know if it was my partner using a condom either 🤷🏼♀️ Has this happened to anyone before?

It took 5 months for it to feel “normal” to me again after my c section
I'm almost 5 months pp and my belly and sometimes further down is still numb (my belly is constantly numb, I can't really feel it even if I rest my hand on it) - I think it just takes time for it all to feel normal again. Honestly though, if you enjoyed it still then I definitely wouldn't be worried, as weird as it may feel
It felt odd for me too. It could be nerves or it could also be pelvic floor. Your pelvic floor would have been strained during pregnancy
I waited until 12 weeks to have sex again, It was great. But any earlier and I feel like it would have been a different story. It takes ages to feel good again after a csection, your still early on. 😊

It takes time for nerves to reconnect again and it's not clear exactly which ones are numb. I know as times gone on I've had more sensation back, perhaps your body needs more time? 6 weeks isn't a lot on the grand scale of things. Also for me there was the new association of sex resulting in my csection which scared me so wasn't able to relax the same.
