@Ella did you move him to the room suddenly or did he play in the room for a couple days and get familiar with it? My LO plays in his room occasionally but not everyday maybe 2/3x/week
We just decided that one night he was going in! X
We did a similar thing to Ella. We moved little one into his own room when he was 6 months (although he is sharing with his older brother) but we only recently did Ferber method too. Using Ferber, our little one was sleeping through within a week!
I would try him in his own room before trying a sleep method - just the own room made all the difference for us as we realised we were disturbing her
Also maybe wean him off the night bottles? Start putting water in them and giving more milk during the day? Our little one stopped bothering to wake up when we stopped the milk at night. She decided it wasn’t worth the effort anymore haha.
Also I didn’t do Ferber or anything. I just laid next to her pretending to sleep until she fell asleep. She cried and cried on the first night and then she was fine, so you could try that. At least I felt like I wasn’t abandoning her but I won’t lie, the first night was pretty brutal!
@Priya ahh see my son has an issue and vomits a lot so if o give him more than 150 he vomits all of it out. Hes on omeprazole so we’ve been advised to feed little and often. Hes basically eating, snacking, and having 120ml bottles throughout the day and i give him 150ml-180ml of whole milk at night. Last night he only woke up once and it was because we fell asleep on the couch watching TV so I think @Kathryn you’re absolutely right. I think we disturb him!
@Priya this is helpful the laying next to her, i will try this!! Thanks xxx
Bless you mama ♥️ I really hope something works out for you soon. Don’t feel bad about letting your little bubba cry a bit - I know it’s easier said than done, it really broke my heart when I had to go through it but it was a couple of nights and it has served her ever since ♥️♥️
Putting our little boy in his own room really helped us! We did a couple weeks of the Ferber method and it helped, he now sleeps majority of the night about 8-3 and the will wake up a few times until he wakes for the day but major improvement x
