“The hen who dreamed she could fly” is my favourite and I think all mothers should read it, or even read them to or with your children too. And I feel that you should come out feeling inspired after reading it
Convenience store woman, really quirky and short - catcher in the rye - my favourite book - so good if you haven’t read it already- bell jar - depressing but so good and a quick read - I’m currently reading mona awad - ‘13 ways to look at a fat girl’ - it’s fairly short - and I’m reading it quickly (I’m a fairly slow reader) - would also recommend frankenstein - by Mary Shelly - recently listened to audiobook and loved it- it’s about 300 pages - and a bit heavy but I absolutely loved it-
Since it's Halloween, Ghost Wall by Sarah Moss or In the Cut by Susannah Moore
Thank you all! My book wishlist has increased ☺️

Have you tried the quick reads. Also if you have Amazon prime there are some amazing short stories for free on there . Most are exclusives from well known authors
I try and pop lots of short reads on my insta page @thelittlelibraryshelf
freida mcfadden books are usually good for slumps i think, or the chestnut spring series by elsie silver for a fun romance x
