Just need some reassurance I think

My little boy (4 months) has bottle aversion and has been taking an average of 600mls of formula per day. I’m worried sick as this is quite a bit below the daily recommended for his age and weight, but he’s been seen by the Health Visitor and Drs and they have no worries (he’s peeing, pooping, is gaining weight, is alert and active etc). I’m a first time mum with a history of anxiety and depression and maybe my anxiety is playing a part here. I’m starting him on some baby porridge and puree to supplement the milk so hopefully this will help. I’m not sure what I’m asking for here, maybe some reassurance?

My boy had this exactly at 2 months. Since he was 4 weeks, he was taking around 700ml, and then the day he became 2 months, he took 375ml of formula that day. Then, for a whole month, he took 500-600ml of formula per day. To my very big surprise he gained weight, about 800g that month. And from 3rd month he returned to 700-900ml per day. I'm not sure what it was, but I was really stressed during this period, but it seems to be normal for them not to want to eat that much at some point.

@Emilė that’s so reassuring! I’ve been worried out of my mind! I’m glad your little one is out of this phase 🙂

Also, later, I spoke with HV, and she said that as long as the baby takes a 500ml formula in 24 hours, there is nothing to be concerned as this amount will keep him hydrated, he might not gain much weight, but he will be hydrated and healthy. Only to be concerned if baby becomes too sleepy, weak, less than 6 wet nappies, etc..

@Emilė oh bless you! Thank you so much!
