My 18 month old doesn’t sleep through the night & she has been having regular wake ups and wanting breast every single time she wakes up. I have been giving in and I fall asleep with her on the breast and hours later she’s still latching on, suckling & we’ve been like that for weeks now. I don’t know what to do, feel guilty getting into this habit. I have started putting her into her own cot so going to see how that works out but is there a sleep regression at this age?
Does anyone else’s baby do this? She is behaving like a newborn at night time and I dread bedtime to the point I went to the bathroom and told my hubby to put her to sleep (I went toilet but I ended up just staying there longer and waited lol) and she fell asleep instantly!
I actually feel anxiety around the time I need to put baby to sleep and I can’t have a peaceful nights sleep because I’m constantly on edge and feeling anxious she’s going to wake up multiple times in the night and it’s having an effect on me during the day 😢
Why is it when someone else puts baby to sleep she will go but when I try, she has non of it and only wants breast??

She most likely has a sleep association with you and boob for comfort to go to sleep, but knows she can’t get that if others put her to sleep. Can your husband do the bedtime routine/night wakes for a while to break the association of you feeding to sleep?

I feel the same way with my boy who is 15 months. It's been this way for ages , I hate night time and I feel like even sleep time there is no break for me 😥

It's the same with my 17 months old boy.
And yes there is a major regression at 18 months.. and heightened development stage so if breastfed they tend to behave like a newborn but it is a phase and shall pass.
Aww im not the only one then! So I’ve started a new bedtime routine and it might help some of you out if you’re struggling with this but if you want to stop feeding to sleep, what I do now is, when it gets to her bedtime, I give her a little bit of breast milk then after a couple of mins, take her off, bring her up, brush her teeth and then lay down with her on my chest. She cries and fights her sleep, tries to lift my top up 🤣 she will tell me she wants milk but I pretend I’m sleeping and actually she knocks out and that way she is stopping the association that she needs fed to sleep. So far thankfully it’s working but it’s been hell (because she cries and I feel bad) and it’s going to take time!
