Formula Feeding

Hi! I’m choosing to formula feed from birth. I’m wondering if anyone knows if I have to bring formula to the hospital? I’m going to do the Enfamil Neuro Pro. I have a few cans already but I saw these little newborn bottles. Should I bring a pack of these to the hospital? And how many cases of these should I get for right after the baby is born? Thank you so much!

You don’t have to bring formula to the hospital. Hospital will either do simliac or enfamil just depends on hospital. I wouldn’t buy those personally because they only drink 2oz for the first month or so. Get the big container of it if you want liquid

My mom used to be a similac rep… hospital feeds what they do based on certain things like if the hospital is “lower income” and has the WIC bid..just because the hospital feeds it doesn’t necessarily mean Its good- it’s all based off politics and the reps who are schmoozing lol… so if it was me and I wanted something specific I’d bring it.just curious.. why enfamil? These commercial brands are filled with so much fillers/ stuff… have you considered looking at a cleaner more European brand?

@Lauren The european brands are amazing to get but are usually always sold out everywhere tbh. i’ve wanted kendamil for months to stock up and every time i try it’s out.

I like this “ready to feed formula” a lot and I’m planning on using it as well to supplement breast milk. My doula said no need to bring formula to the hospital and usually hospitals like to use their own supply of formula since they know exactly where they bought them. You can also buy “ready to feed” in other sizes besides these little bottles, but in general I think ready to feed is more expensive than powder. I am biased To this formula because after major weight gain issues, my first daughter really liked and gained well on ready to feed enfamil :)
