Eating

I am at my wits end with my little boys eating. He’s always been a fussy eater but since turning 3 it’s been next level hell. I’m talking hour long tantrums about not wanting to eat his tea. Asking for breakfast and then not wanting to eat it. It’s an absolute battle. He seems fine when eating at pre school. I’m making things that I know he likes and disguising veg so he doesn’t even see it on his plate but it’s so tough. I don’t offer alternatives but am very aware of he doesn’t eat his tea he will be up early hungry but the battles are tough. Don’t know what I’m asking really. Just after some Mama solidarity

I feel this my son is exactly the same but he is alot better than he was before I swear he was surviving on thin air he now loves apples, cucumber and red peppers and carrots so I know he will eat them at least if he doesn’t want to eat his dinner he will demolish chicken nuggets and chips from the air fryer but that’s about it he is so fussy but he will pick things up and smell them or at least try them which before he wouldn’t nursery is doing wonders but he suffers with constipation so he hardly eats when he is struggling with that

My daughter was an excellent eater. She’d clear whatever you put in front of her and tell you it was delicious…. That child is gone. Food is now disgusting. She lives on toast.

My girl has got a little fussier. She refused her tea the other night so I sent her to bed with some milk and the next morning she drank some water and it must’ve landed on her empty stomach and she threw up all over the kitchen! Sounds like there are a lot of posts like this all of a sudden so it must be a phase.

It’s worse when they’re sick 😂 my daughter only eat boiled eggs and toasts and milk when she’s sick. I would ask her what she wants, she would say “yes” to whatever it is I said, then once I serve it to her she’s like “no no” 🤣 how do I make her tell me what she wants?!! The amount of food. She does love eating carrots, broccoli, peas and cucumbers so I’m not worry about those. She also likes banana, grapes, strawberries, blueberry - but just anything I cook as a dish she doesn’t want. Maybe I just have to serve her things exactly as they are 🤔

@Nattinan I make my son a snack plate of the things I know he will eat he loves crackers bread sticks as well the health visitors always said add a new food along with a safe food we find if we sit at the table and eat he is more likely to pick up the new food or whatever we are eating he might not eat it but with him it’s all about smelling it or tasting it

My daughter is the same. Won’t try anythign new and rarely eats any dinner we put in front of her. Safe foods don’t exist anymore 😫
