I buy until there’s enough but also have a loose budget we don’t get into debt for gifts
I think the younger they are the easier it is to spend less as you can buy second hand. My daughter’s first birthday was a second hand tyke car for £30. It varies. I do a list of what I think they would like and have asked for and work from there. Last year her main birthday present was a set of roller skates which are about £40. She has about five or six things to open.
I only have 1 child, she's nearly 3, this year I have spent around £200 for Xmas and £250-£300 for birthday but her birthday is New Years Eve, so both Xmas and birthday are very close together so it's all over almost in one go 😂 x
Would have to be something special for us to spend over £100. Probably about £75 this Xmas including a book advent calendar.
We typically spend about £100-£150 but if there’s things we know we want to get and it goes over that, that’s fine. But I won’t buy stuff just for the sake of it looking like a lot of stuff to open.
I buy until he’s got enough there, usually spend around £200 but I also choose what family members get him (it’s what they prefer) so if you include what they get it ends up being a fair bit more
I don't have a set budget, I just buy until it looks enough. I'd guess I usually spend £200-300 each
