Oh really? I’ve read a side affect can be nausea? Did you experience that? X
I had to go for infusion multiple times leading up to my pregnancy in my experience it was bad. You sit there for like an hour until your dose is done. It’s similar to an iv just bring something to watch or listen to. Sometimes I would just fall asleep. They had big comfy reclining chairs where I went so it was a chill experience for me
Your experience was bad or not bad? Did they let you have somebody with you? Xx
I had one a few weeks ago. It made such a huge difference to my energy / breathlessness / brain fog. I had some food and went to bed after as id had it in the evening, but didnt have any nausea. The infusion was only about 20 minutes and I was in hospital for about an hour overall. Easy and fairly painless for me apart from what you'd expect with a cannula. Hope it goes well for you.
I am very breathless and tired all the time so I’m hoping I feel great after it! Thank you ☺️
Sorry not bad* And tbh I don’t remember if they allowed anyone. I don’t go with my partner since the gym was right next door he always went there 😅 but I actually appreciated the time alone. He might have went the first time because I remember being nervous. I couldn’t take the pills at all they would make me throw up but the infusions helped a lot
I’ve been taking the pills every day but havnt helped! Thanks for the advice 😊
I had one a few weeks ago. It was easy and painless other than the canula. Around 20 minutes once connected, and I appreciated the peace. My midwife had relaxing spa music playing too so I didn't even look at my phone, just spent those minutes with my eyes closed and relaxing. They mad me hang around afterwards in case I had any negative side effects, but I didn't. And it will make you feel much better, but it is not immediate as I thought, as your body takes a couple of weeks to absorb it all.
This is really helpful thanks! I have mine on Monday, also supplementing but to no effect :(
Yeah I've been taking iron tablets every single day religiously but still needed an iron transfusion. It did sting a bit and was cold which I felt in my veins lol but I actually fell asleep during and woke up at the end with no side effects. It's just weird to watch it go in cause it's brown in colour.
Yup. I had to get one at the hospital post C-section before they’d let me leave.. I’ll be honest it wasn’t the most pleasant experience. I found it burned the entire time and almost a month later my arm still feels bruised (it isn’t but it feels that way). Not something I’d want to do again if I could avoid it.
