Couple questions about food

My baby is 11 months and recently being fussy with food. Today we had lasagne and he had 3 spoons, he was turning away lips tightly shut not having anymore. I put some on his tray aswell thinking he might feed himself but he didn't. Now if that was fruit on his tray he would demolish it all. If I had yoghurt on the spoon he'd demolish it and cry for more. When it comes to meal time food he is so fussy. Should I offer him something I know he'd eat such as fruit or let him go without? I'm scared of starting a bad habbit of him knowing if he doesn't eat he'll get something he loves but then I don't want him going hungry. But if he's hungry would he eat more than 3 bites? Is anyone else got a fussy baby? Any tips?

I had the same question of whether to prepare something else if baby doesn't like something.

Try something else maybe he doesn't like lasagne. I personally think that's ok. I don't eat a lot of stuff my family eats and i still don't but there are a lot of other healthy options to choose from so why should we force a baby to eat something

Exact same here- yoghurt fruit snacks and pancakes are demolished, everything else barely touched. Ive started pureeing veg again and mixing with yoghurt 😭 Im sure this isnt right but I want her to eat something so I kind of just give her what she wants and keep trying other stuff but been like this for weeks and weeks, shes gone off eggs, cheese, toast…

I follow a group on Facebook called weaning the BLW way which is really useful. They say to go with the rule of 3 so 1 thing they love, one thing they like and something new. So for example lasagne, cucumber sticks & yogurt. If your baby is hungry they will eat, you can always offer a milk feed too if you was worried as that is their main source until 1? My little girl has always loved food but had a week of refusal and just putting it on the floor which was so hard! (She was teething). She's back to eating again now thankfully! X
