Afternoon tea at nursery

Just wondered if anyone is also giving their baby something to eat when they get home? My daughter goes to bed around 6:30 and has a bottle at 6 (formula cows milk mix). She gets afternoon tea at nursery which is normally sandwiches, scones, fruit etc at 3/3:30 and I'm not sure whether or not to give her any good when we get home around 5:30 before her bottle. I haven't been, but with dropping all her bottles, I'm wondering if she should have a snack when she gets in?

I normally offer my boy something, sometimes just some snacks, or a small hot meal, it depends on his mood if he eats anything or all of it but I always offer him something x

My baby has a proper dinner for tea at nursery at 4pm and I still offer something when we get home. Sometimes he will have what I have for dinner, sometimes porridge/yoghurt it really depends. And then a bottle just before bed also 😅

My kids have an afternoon snack at nursery too, ranging from crackers with cheese to soup with bread rolls and always with fruit on yoghurt. I always offer them a meal when they get home, we sit at the table usually 5-5.30pm and they eat what the want I dont force it, my 1yo will usually eat 1/2 and a small yoghurt, he will then have 5-6oz milk after his bath

We weren’t sure either so offered it anyway and he says all his tea with us (along with all the food nursery give) plus it’s nice to eat together Maybe offer and see if they’ll eat anything then gauge it from there

Sometimes it depends on if we're eating or if she seems hungry. If we're eating she'll generally sit with us and have a little something. They do have a meal at nursery around 3/4 and a snack too before pick up.

Thanks everyone, I think I'll offer her something. We won't be eating together because she'll need to eat as soon as we get in which is a shame, but on weekends we can eat together 😀
