Honestly I'm the same this time around with painful braxton hicks also been into hospital 3 times because of pain/reduced movements. I'm somewhat looking out for the same pain as last time and it was more regular where as my braxton hicks even tho they hurt are all over the place
@kylie I’ve been timing them, and once I get past 6-7, they die down for about 20 minutes and ramp up again😅
But I’ve told my midwife about my worries that I won’t distinguish and she goes ‘oh you’ll know’ - ok thanks love, but I don’t think I will😂
Honestly if you think it is at any point just go in and get checked out I know how hard it is going into hospital all the time but it's worth it even if it's for your own piece of mind. I currently have to go in daily for monitoring because his movements have changed and be doesn't move as much and I'm in pain
This is my second baby and on Monday I had braxton hicks but I could have sworn it was early labour because my last labour started like it. Was tightenings from around 3am - 10am but never got long enough in duration and were closer together than labour. My key with real labour is the consistency plus length of contraction/tightening feeling. If they aren’t getting longer and stronger, it’s not labour (just my tip). Contraction timers are great for weeding it out but can confirm, mine felt very similar until I was like 6cm dilated then it’s very noticeable.
When I had back pain that was my sign something was happening. I’d had nothing all pregnancy. Then I had a day of lower backache which then also came with mild period pain. That evening my baby arrived!
