Yes! I was just telling my mom this! So I talked to his pediatrician a few days ago and they said it’s completely normal, that when babies are starting to learn new things that they put talking on hold. It’s not concerning unless they are showing no developmental progress at all in anything. My son was saying mama, dada, yay, whee, and bobo (our dog). Then he just stopped completely so I was so worried. He just turned a year old on the 18th. But, yesterday, he started saying momma and dada again so I wouldn’t be worried!
My baby used to say mama but stopped for like 3 months. She just started saying it again. I think they focus there energy in other skills they are learning and then go back to skills they already have
Mine also isn't saying mama and dada anymore (also a 13th baby!) but she's saying other words. It's pretty normal for a new word or movement to become the "favorite" for awhile. Is she saying another word often, or maybe processing a new movement like clapping or walking?
