I did an incline treadmill program. Where I walked on a treadmill 45 min. Pushing the incline up every 2 sessions.
Yes, cut out sugars, soda, candy ect
Yes 100% I walked at least a mile or two everyday to start off then I would follow a yt video at night to get to 8-10k steps depending on how active I was during the day. Plus I ate in a deficit and made sure to have prioritize fiber and water. Ps: if you plan to track calories I recommend to track how you normally eat for maybe a week or two to see where you need improvement. Also do not jump into increasing your fiber intake all at once! It could lead to constipation. Do it in increments. But water is your best friend!
Hi! Pre/postnatal fitness trainer here 👋 Walking is an excellent form of exercise! If you combine it with weight lifting--even better! Feel free to reach out with any questions!
@Dulce I used to fast at noon but still nursing. Thank you for the step count average. How much weight would you say you lost in 2 months if you don’t mind me asking?
@Alleiah I’m pretty good about not eating those things for a long time. I feel like I need to do some more movement. I do walk twice a day but wondering if it’s enough. I want to lose 20 pounds.
@destiny I’ll really have to count my steps. I have an Apple Watch that should be able to do that. I need to up my fiber too. I love love water! Thanks for the advice, I truly appreciate it.
Combine any sort of movement (walking is fantastic!) with strength training (lifting heavy!)
@Claire what kind of beginner strength training do you recommend? I don’t have any of the fitness things in my house so I would have to buy a few things.
@Jem lifting weights is excellent - you can start with a few different dumbbell sets. If you have access to a gym, that is also a great option as weights can be a large investment! Planet fitness is only like $10 a month
@Claire thank you! I’ll look into it. I def am committed to losing weight.
I do fast till about noon, but don’t restrict too much just mostly cut out unnecessary sugar. Been walking with my son about 2.5 miles 5 days a week - going to be harder to do now that it’s chilly outside though 😬
Yes don’t underestimate the power of walking! It’s how a lost my first 10-20 pounds within 2 months of having my baby. I walked as much as I could in the 6wk recovery period before the okay to hit the gym again.
@Marisa oh I know about the cold. Hopefully there isn’t much snow where you are because I’m sure it will get harder to walk.

@Abie that’s awesome to hear. I’m gonna keep walking and really pushing myself for longer walks each day.
Yes, absolutely BUT it needs to be 8k -10l steps a day combined with a calorie deficit. For about two months straight. I don’t restrict too much my food, but I would fast until noon every day
