People that cook and enjoy eating chili: do you add beans to the recipe

I know some people believe that beans don’t belong in chili but I swear this is blasphemy.

I think it's regional. We always do beans. I think Texas style is no beans. I tried a recipe once without any and really didn't care for it.

I’m vegetarian now but my chili has always been majority beans. Carrots onion celery are a must as well. I also put corn sometimes

I think beans are needed in a chilli but my partner hates the texture so I blend them up.
